Like Jamie, I’m not eligible to win, but if I was, I’d donate the money to Red Cross or the American Cancer Society. I’ve lost several people to cancer.

If I was lucky enough to win, I would donate the money to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I’ve done extensive volunteering with them and truely love the extra mile they push for their patients.

I would donate $500 to the American Red Cross – who help people whether it’s “half a million disaster victims or one sick child who needs blood”. The other $500 I would donate to an Education charity to help make learning possible for students of all ages, from pre-school to graduate school.

I would donate to the American Cancer Society, that is, hoping and praying that I do win =) I’ll be entering the contest so that I can continue with my music using the Macbook Air, and supporting people with Cancer by donating the $1k. I lost my Godfather to Lukemia, and he was literally the best thing that’s ever happened to me. He worked for NBC and had a wing of our church named after him. He was a great man, but unfortunately lost his life to Lukemia. I’d hate for this to happen to other people with the same disease as my Godfather.

Cancer Research UK as many people I know (including my Mum) have been affected by the awful disease. Some pulled through, some weren’t so lucky (thankfully, my Mum was one of the lucky ones).

As a Kayako employee I couldn’t win. There are a variety of charities whose goal is to create sustainable agriculture in starving areas, instead of to donate food. So, if I had won, despite that I cannot, I would find one such sustainability charity, and donate to them.

I would donate the money to Engineers without Borders. It’s a organization that helps to solve problems in disadvantage communities worldwide with engineering projects.

My local college chapter is working with HERO (Health Education Relief Organization in Atlanta, GA) to find a way to provide clean water to a hilly area in Haiti.

Here’s a couple of sites to find out more info:

Would donate to the Kantowski Foundation which brings technology to children in low-income households and those with special needs by recycling and restoring used equipment. $1,000 would go a very long way within the organization.

Well to bad can’t split it up cause I would have liked to donate part of it to American Cancer Society and then the other half to Ronald McDonald House cause my sister died from cancer and while she was in the hospital the Ronald McDonald House gave us a place to stay and other people in our same situation to talk to… I donate to them every year but hey extra money would help the cause….
