Non-profit organizations and Open Source projects now eligible for free Kayako software

We are very honored and humbled to announce that Kayako help desk software as well as all of our add-on products are now available for FREE to all non-profit charitable organizations (IRS code 501(c)(3), for example) as well as all open source software projects!

Charity is a core part of our values here at Kayako, and we are acutely aware of our social responsibilities. We have decided to become proactive in doing our part to help these wonderful organizations.  The best way we can think of  is by providing our products and services free of charge.

We also admire and respect the Open Source software movement and appreciate the underestimated contribution they are making to the advancement of technology and the Internet.  We think they deserve free software, too!

Consider this policy effective immediately. Any and all non-profit charitable organizations and Open Source projects are welcome to e-mail our Sales department at sales@kayako.com, or telephone us: Toll-free: 1-888-212-2140 / internationally: 1-208-906-2753.  We’ll get you set up with your unlimited SupportSuite, eSupport or LiveResponse license as well as as many add-on licenses that you require for your organization.

You’ll need to prove non-profit or open source status to our sales team before being eligible to receive your license(s), and some services and options will not be available; please ask a sales rep for more information.

We hope you’re as excited about this new policy as we are!  Happy supporting!

Great to hear way to support charities/non-profit organizations… Wish more companies did this these organizations usually don’t have the funding to buy everything they need. SO WAY TO GO… Me so proud :)

Keep in mind that our sales department is closed on the weekend, so don’t jump the gun too quickly. If you file a ticket, it will be handled Monday (IST).

This announcement is fantastic and very timely! As IT Director for the American Motorcyclist Association, I have been searching for a new Help Desk solution for some time… The AMA is currently facing many of the same struggles which private industry IT departments are seeing today, because we struggle everyday to control our support costs. This announcement could be the answer to our long standing dilemma! You are putting a World Class support solution in the hands of those who would otherwise consider this option as unthinkable, within their current budget.

Ryan, I want to Thank you and Kayako’s management team for your generosity! I will be contacting you sales group on Monday.

    Regards,

    John Smart, IT Director

    Hello,

We’re a charity and we’re happy users of eSupport so this is great news.

I’ve tried e-mailing the sales address a couple of times over the past two weeks and haven’t had a response. Is there another address I should be trying?

    Thanks

Ivan; you should have received a reply back from us within just a couple of hours. You should also have received a receipt with a tracking code – did you? If you still cannot get through, please e-mail me: jamie.edwards atsymbol kayako.com

Thanks Jamie. It seems that the Barracuda reputation list doesn’t like your SMTP server and that was blocking the e-mails.

You might want to get yourselves removed.

Thank you so much for your support! I want to thank you in the name of our three charity organizations Shree Bindu Sewa Sansthan (India), Swami Balendu e.V. (Germany) and American Friends of Swami Ji (USA). Without this offer of getting this software for free we would not be able to install this kind of software on our website. It is an immense help and we appreciate it very much. It will help us in helping people how to help poor children!
    Thank you!
